GHANA’S ENERGY MINISTER DISMISSED
ACCRA– President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of Ghana has relieved with immediate effect Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko of his position.
A statement issued here Monday by the Director of Communications at the Office of the Presdent, Eugene Arhin, said the President had asked Lands and Natural Resources Minister John Peter Amewu to act as energy minister until a substantive appointment is made.
The statement said the President wished Agyarko well in his future endeavours.
The directive follows the fallout from the controversy surrounding the Ameri power deal.
