Ghanaian businessman Dr. Bortey cushions Hearts of Oak with GHS10,000 donation

The Chief Executive Officer of Happyman Beverages, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey has made a donation of GHS10,000 to Hearts of Oak to cushion the team in the CAF Champions League.

The Premier League Champions are Ghana’s only representatives in any of CAF’s inter-club competitions ahead of the groupings for the 2021/2022 edition.

Having eliminated Guinean outfit CI Kamsar from the preliminary round, Hearts of Oak are faced with a tougher opponent in Wydad AC from Morocco.

Today at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Phobians hosted the opponent for the first leg of the scheduled two tie encounter.

Although the team struggled in the first 15 minutes of the game, the players stepped up subsequently to secure a deserved 1-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

Impressed with the team’s performance, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey who is also the CEO of Charger Ltd visited the dressing room of Hearts of Oak where he donated an amount of GHS10,000 to the team.

According to Modernghana Sports sources, he also gifted Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu and undisclosed amount of money.
