The coach of Ghana’s national football team, Avram Grant, has named a 26-man provisional squad to represent the country at the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2017) which begins in Gabon on Jan 14.
The Black Cats coach told journalists that it had not been easy trying to fix a good and competent squad for the tournament.
Captain Asamoah Gyan leads the side who will begin an 11-day training tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) before travelling to Gabon on Jan 13 for the African championship.
