Ghana forward Mohammed Kudus on the scoresheet for Ajax in a 3-2 win against Salzburg


Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus scored with a fantastic effort on Tuesday evening to help Ajax to cruise to a 3-2 victory against Red Bull Salzburg.

The Dutch giants today engaged the Austrian Bundesliga Champions in a pre-season-friendly match.

Following a good display by the Eredivisie side in the early parts of the first half, the side took the lead in the 28th minute courtesy of a strike from Dusan Tadic from 12 yards.

Four minutes later, Red Bull Salzburg replied with a goal scored by Nicolas Capaldo to restore parity to the game.

Later in the 40th minute, Mohammed Kudus rose highest to head home a great cross from Steven Bergwijn to restore the lead for Ajax before heading into the break.

After recess, both teams played well and managed to equalise. Kenneth Taylor scored in the 52nd minute to double the lead for the Dutch Eredivisie champions before Benjamin Sesko netted for Red Bull Salzburg in the 71st minute.

Thanks to some good defending from Ajax, the team managed to hold on to secure a 3-2 win at the end of the friendly game.
