General Palenfo retains position as ANOCA President
Accra, General Lassana Palenfo retained his position as the president of the Association National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), after he went unopposed.
He will serve a four year term.
This was after Cameroonian Malboum Kalaba was disqualified for ethical violations.
General Palenfo was elected alongside Mustapha Berraf from Algeria as the 1st Vice President, with 2nd Vice President going to Manuel Afonso of Soa Tome & Principe, whilst Voon H A Shun and Mrs. Motlohang Moila from Mauritius and Lesotho picked the 3rd and 4th Vice Presidents respectively.
The position of Secretary-General went to Ahmed Hashim of Sudan, as Treasurer went to Ahmed Gumed from Nigeria.
For the zonal representations, Zone One: Kamal Lahlov � Morocco. Zone Two: Habb Sesoko- Mali, Zone Three: Julian Minavoa � Benin, Zone Four: Hamad Kolkaba � Cameroun, Zone 5: William Blick � Uganda, Zone 6: Nigress Alex � Botswana, Zone 7: Antonio Gobal � Seychelles.
