Fuel prices have begun to reduce as the first pricing window for September this year has commenced.
Some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have started to adjust prices of petroleum products downwards from Monday September 2, 2024 across various pumps.
For instance, state-owned GOIL is currently selling petrol at GHS14.16 per litre, indicating a 6 pesewas drop from the previous GHS15.02 price last month.
For the price of diesel, the market leader is selling a litre at GHS14.70 from its previous price of GHS14. 90. This represents a 20 pesewas drop in prices, and 1.34 percentage points reduction per litre of diesel.
Star Oil has also reduced the price of petrol per litre by 0.73 percentage points, which is now going for GHS13.65. Additionally, the OMC is selling diesel for GHS13.85 per litre from its old price of GHS14.02.
At some selected pumps across the country, Star Oil is running promotions, selling a litre of petrol at GHS13.31 while diesel is going for GHS13.57.
