The Electoral Commission of Ghana has confirmed that four candidates, including incumbent President John Dramani of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have qualified to contest the Dec 7 presidential election.
The Commission announced here Monday that the other three candidates includes the presidential nominee of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, who was defeated in the 2012 election by former President John Kufour of the NDC.
The other two candidates are Ivor Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and Jacob Osei Yeboah, an independent.
The Commission also announced the disqualification of 14 other presidential aspirants for failing to meet the set criteria to make their documents valid.
