A Ghanaian footballer, Emmanuel Noel Asare Adams, known as Marcelo, and his friends met their untimely deaths after their car got trapped in the floods on the Accra-Tema motorway.

The late Noel Adams was returning home on Saturday, May 25, 2024, when the tragic incident occurred at the Abattoir bridge.

The mangled car was discovered on Tuesday afternoon in the lagoon at the Lashibi-Klagon bridge.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service later lifted the damaged car from the drains, and upon search, two lifeless individuals were discovered in separate locations: one at Tema Community 19 and the other at a beach in Klagon, but the player was nowhere to be found.

The body of Noel Adams was eventually discovered at a beach in Klagon.

It is believed that the player decided to drop off the two individuals who were heading in his direction.

Upon reaching the Abatt
oir bridge on the Accra-Tema motorway, Adams’ car got trapped in the rain and was swept away into the drain.
