EuroPrima Industries Limited supports Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly

GNA – EuroPrima Industries Limited (EIL), a sales and distribution company, has presented COVID-19 relief items worth GH¢500,000 to the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region. The items included cartons of SOKLIN washing powder, cartons of Santex hand sanitizer, cartons of Santex liquid hand wash soap, cartons of Santex medicated soap, and cartons of WIZACT 24H disinfectant spray.

Speaking at the handing-over ceremony in Accra, Mr Frank Adu Peprah, Head of Finance at EIL, said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for 2021, and most importantly its commitment towards the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said EIL had made a number of donations all over the country at the height of the Pandemic.

Mr Peprah noted that EIL realised that, “though the pandemic is still with us, the attention it deserves and the interest it commanded from the beginning is decreasing”.

He also underscored the need to intensify awareness and the need to adhere to the laid down protocols for safety and protection.

He said the Management of EIL led by its Directors and Country Manager decided to visit their home turf being the Ayawaso West Municipal and contribute (1100 cartons) towards that worthy cause.

Dr Louisa Ademki Matey, Ayawaso West Municipal Health Director, received the items on behalf of the Assembly and commended EIL for the much needed noble gesture, saying, this would be pivotal in securing victory in the fight against the pandemic within the Municipality.

She said considering how COVID-19 had threatened lives and undermined alot of resources for everyone, they would make good use of the items to ensure the safety of the Municipality, adding, “we know that one of protocols is hand washing, hand hygiene, and those items are paramount”.

Dr Matey, who said the items would be distributed within the Municipality and the beneficiaries including 34 health facilities, was hopeful that the gesture would be seen and emulated by all other companies who were willing and able.
