Engage in physical exercise to maintain fitness

Tamale, Alhaji Mohammed Haroon Cambodia, the National President of the Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO) Old Students Union, popularly known as ‘NABIA’, has underscored the need to regularly engage in physical exercise to maintain fitness.

He explained that, exercising regularly would not only provide good health and maintain body fitness but also aid in critical thinking for learning and to help solve personal problems and appealed to the old students to make exercise a part of their daily routine activities.

Alhaji Cambodia gave the advice at the weekend in Tamale when the NABIA Tamale Branch embarked on a health walk through the principal streets of tamale and to also fraternize.

The event also formed part of preparations towards a fund raising programme in aid of the school as well as a dinner party for members of the union scheduled for December 16.

Dr Iddrisu Tanko, Director of Human Resource at the University for Development Studies (UDS), who is also a NABIA, lauded the organizers of the event and stressed the need for such initiatives to bring the old students together.

Navrongo Secondary School (NAVASCO) was established in 1960 by the first president of Ghana, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
