As part of giving back to society, the Fanteakwa South Deputy NADMO Coordinator, Clement Oware Peasah has extended support to widows at Akyem Juaso.
Twenty widows were given half pieces of cloth as a way of consoling them as single women and mothers.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Oware Peasah emphasised the gesture was to put smile on the faces of women who have lost their husbands and wives and needs support to survive.
He indicated that such an initiative will go a long way to limit the suffering of most widows due to the demise of their life partners.
He again assured that the initiative would be repeated yearly as part of his birthday celebration in December.
Meanwhile, some beneficiaries responding to the kind gesture of Mr. Oware Peasah prayed for God’s guidance and protection to enable him continue extending support to the less privileged.
The short colourful ceremony was attended by the Queenmother of Juaso, Nana Benewaa Asiedu VI, the DCE, party leaders, representatives from the Local Council of Churches and many others.
