Dzodze: The Paramount Chief and President of the Dzodze Traditional Council, Torgbui Dzoku V, has made an appeal to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare, for the deployment of additional police personnel to the Ketu Divisional Command. The call aims to bolster security and ensure lasting peace within the Division and the Dzodze community at large.

According to Ghana News Agency, Torgbui Dzoku’s appeal was made during a send-off ceremony for Superintendent Eric Vondee, the outgoing Acting District Commander of Dzodze, at the Dzodze Police Station on Sunday. The Paramount Chief stressed that increasing the number of officers would enhance the operational capabilities of the command. Additionally, he requested an extra police vehicle to further boost the District Command’s efficiency in maintaining law and order.

Torgbui Dzoku commended the efforts of Supt. Vondee and Chief Supt. Samuel Kofi Odame, highlighting their dedication and hard work in restoring peace and security in Dzodze.
Their leadership played a crucial role in the peaceful inauguration of the Dzodze Traditional Council, the coronation of Mama Agbalogui II as Paramount Queenmother, and the successful celebration of the 2024 Dzodze DeZa Festival.

Under Supt. Vondee’s leadership, the crime rates in Dzodze saw a significant decline, with the notable apprehension and conviction of three armed robbers, each sentenced to 30 years in prison.
