Doomed public purse would be subjected to further abuse if Ghanaians retain NPP in 2024 – Sammy Gyamfi

The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi has claimed that Ghana’s public purse is doomed under the current government and will be worsened if Ghanaians do not vote out the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024.

Mr. Gyamfi said this while addressing a press conference in Accra on Monday, August 30, 2021, in response to a press conference held by the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr. John Boadu last week in a reaction to the thank you tour of former President John Dramani Mahama.

According to Sammy Gyamfi, contrary to the attacks of John Boadu, everything John Mahama said on his thank you tour on the current government is based on fact and reflects the thinking of Ghanaians as well.

“Former President Mahama echoed the sentiments of the vast majority of Ghanaians who feel scandalized by the unbridled corruption and plain thievery that has become the hallmark of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia NPP government,” the NDC firebrand stated.

Sammy Gyamfi is confident that with what the NPP government has shown since 2017, the citizenry is in a hurry to see 2024 to vote out what he says is a corrupt government.

“The alarming case of corruption under this government is such that Ghanaians cannot wait to exact accountability by voting out the NPP after their eight year tenure in 2024,” Sammy Gyamfi said while stressing, “Anything short if that will spell doom for the public purse which will be subjected to further abuse should their mandates be renewed beyond 2024,” he emphasised.
