Chief Imam, NDC Bigwigs, Others Attend 40 Days Prayer In Honor Of Baba Jamal’s Late Father

The Akwatia lorry station Saturday, 19th January 2018 witnessed hundreds of dignitaries from far and near for the 40 days prayer (A’dua Program) in honor of the late father of former Member of Parliament of the area and Deputy Minister of Employment, Hon Baba Jamal Ahmed.

In line with the Islamic doctrine, a 40 days prayer (du’a) was held over the weekend with hundreds of dignitaries in attendance to mourn with the former legislator.

National Chief Imam Ghana, Sheikh Dr Usman Nuhu Sharutu, President of the National Council of Muslim Chiefs, Sheikh Abdul Kadir and other prominent Imams and Chiefs from the Muslim community as well offered series of prayer for the deceased.

The Chief Imam prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for Alhaji Ali Baaba, a dedicated Muslim who was a farmer popularly known as ALBELLA.

He prayed for the entire family and a special one for Baba Jamal who is now head of the family for patience, more wisdom to steer the affairs of the family.

Minority Chief Whip and MP for Asawasi, Hon Muntaka Mubarick, delivered a Solidarity message on behalf of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Some former appointee under the erstwhile Mahama led NDC administration were also present at the program.

National Women Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyemfour also led a delegation from the national headquarters, regional and constituency executives who also delivered a solidarity message to Baba Jamal and the family.

However, series of donations were made by the main political parties, groups and individuals to support the family.

Hon Baba Jamal on his part thanked everyone who made time out of their busy schedule to be at the event and prayed Allah richly bless them and take them back safely to their various destinations.
