‘I have been an experienced land guard, don’t try me!’ – Prophet Azuka to Ajagurajah

Prophet Azuka has slammed Bishop Ajagurajah for doubting his spiritual prowess and credibility.

Earlier after Azuka cursed and attacked a critic on his TikTok live, netizens extended the insults to Ajagurajah, as they claimed they both belong to the same league of spiritualists.

This didn’t sit well with Ajagurajah and in response, he disassociated himself from Prophet Azuka while stating that the latter isn’t a spiritualist.

He said what Azuka practices is witchcraft.

“We have types of spiritual churches but what this man is doing now just isn’t it. It is called witchcraft. People are tagging these wizards as spiritualists and it has to stop. They are embarrassing us. They are using schnapps and I don’t even use that. In spirituality, when you want to curse someone, you use florida water and not Schnapp. He is not a spiritual pastor. Period,” Ajagurajah stated in a viral video.

However, Prophet Azuka did not take Ajagurajah’s comments lightly.

During an interview with Zionfelix, he has asked the Ajagurajah movement founder to be wary of him.

In a quest to prove that he can make life miserable for Ajagurajah, Azuka touted himself as the former’s senior, while stating that he was once a notorious landguard.

“Tell, him what he did was wrong, he should humble himself. He isn’t stronger than me. I have been a land guard before. I have been a landgaurd in Aboabo, Zongo, Asawase and several places. He came to meet me in this business, let’s put him aside. I have been doing this for 10 years. There’s a difference between spirit and power. Nobody can claim ownership of spirituality or being an originator of spirituality. I won’t join their so-called association; I am bigger than that,” he fumed.

He added the difference between Ajagurajah and himself is that the former is an ‘apprentice’ and he (Azuka) is the spirit itself.

“I will do what I like and nobody can tell me how to run my business. Being a spiritualist or running a spiritual church isn’t about scary costumes, he should get out of here. He said he is a spiritualist; I am the spirit itself. He is just like an apprentice, and the gift can be taken from him anytime,” he claimed.

Book about caring for autistic children launched

A book on how parents may care for children with special needs, including autism, was launched in Accra at the weekend.

Mrs Gifty Kwaku Addison’s book, ‘My Journey with Twin Angels,’ covers a mother’s experiences caring for her autistic twins.

The author indicated that she had chosen to draft the book with the goal to share her experiences caring for two challenged children.

She believes that her book will inspire and empower parents with special needs children to overcome the challenges of caring for them.

Mrs Addison regretted the lack of attention and support given to caretakers of disabled people.

She said parents of people with disabilities face various psychological and emotional challenges, including suicide.

Mrs Addison thus recommended parents of such children seek counselling and therapy to deal with emotional and psychological issues.

Professor Kobina NKyekyer stated in his review that the book is a story of hope for parents of special-needs children.

He stated that the book could be useful as a reference for parents of special-needs children on how to deal with the condition.

Prof NKyekyer was surprised by the author’s comprehension of the handicap, despite the fact that she is not an expert in medicine.

He said that the author’s comprehension of the condition’s diagnoses demonstrated how she researched and helped and positioned herself as a mother to her children.

A public health physician, Dr Keziah Malm, for her part, stated that the book is not an instructional guide for parents, but that the author provides real-life ways to implement what she recommends for caring for children with special needs.

She praised the author’s ability to clarify complicated medical concepts and suggested that the book could be useful for parents of children with such illnesses.

The event was attended by traditional rulers, members of the medical and legal professions, and those keen on autism.

The launch also included a fund-raising event to benefit an autism school in the Ashanti Region.

Living with Twin Angels has 16 chapters and covers 96 pages.

We were never taken advantage of during our days in acting – Akosua Fosua Boafo

Veteran Ghanaian actress, Akosua Fosua Boafo, has stated that neither she nor any other ladies were sexually-solicited by anyone during their days of acting.

She made this known while speaking about her experiences in acting, on Onua Showtime on with Nana Ama McBrown.

“I was never approached, and I’ve never heard of anything like that happening. Maybe all these happened at another time, or they didn’t see me. But in that time, we did it out of love, we were like brothers and sisters. Those days, if we go to a location, we sleep in the same room, we eat together you know, that connection was there,” she explained.

She added that the recent cases of actresses being taken advantage of, or solicited for sexual favours, are probably as a result of desperation and greed.

She advised the youth and up and coming actors to focus on building their crafts instead of transacting roles for sexual favours.

“First of all, believe in yourself, believe in yourself that you can do this. Focus on improving yourself. That situation of you going to a director or producer and exchanging sexual favours for movie roles, those things don’t last. We see this all the time, the a person is in a role and its obvious that because of one thing or another, the person was put in that role by force. Usually that person doesn’t last long in his or her acting career. So i would advice that you should be willing to learn and improve yourself and everything will work out,” she stated.

We’ll partner tourism ministry to reduce HIV infections among tourists – AIDS Commission

The Ghana AIDS Commission has announced that it will work with the Ghana Tourism Authority to launch campaigns to help reduce the number of new infections among visitors to the country.

Dr. Atuahene Kyeremeh, Director General of the Commission, stated that tourism contributes to new HIV infections, thus the need for them to take steps to help reduce the figures.

Yes, tourism generates resources for the country, he said on Rainbow Radio 87.5 Fm, and it is good for every country to promote tourism. That is why the government is heavily investing in tourism. That is excellent.

However, every good thing has a drawback, and tourism is no exception. Tourists who visit here use the services of sex workers. Others favour men, young women, and students. We don’t train the tourists who come here. They simply enter the country because they have visas. They have money, so even if they give these young people $5, they can have their way with them. This is a major challenge, so we will work with the Ghana Tourism Authority through the mother Ministry to address it.”

“I will be meeting with the Ministry to design strategies to address these challenges,” Dr. Kyeremeh Atuahene said.

“As a commission, we need to design communication campaigns and strategies to reach out to them so they can protect themselves,” he said. We also need to assist them in continuing to take their drugs if they are already positive and on drugs, which is what we intend to do. All of these strategies are already in place”.

Your daughter must apologize for disrespecting national anthem – Mahama tells Akufo-Addo

Edwina Nana Dokua Akufo-Addo, daughter of President Akufo-Addo has been called out for disrespecting the national anthem.

Social media users criticized the President for looking on as his daughter was speaking on the phone while the national anthem was being played.

This comes on the back of the President’s reaction when a Chief didn’t stand up for the national anthem.

It may be recalled that the President in June rebuked the Chief of Mempeasem, Nii Torgbor Obodai Ampaw VI, after he failed to stand for the National Anthem during the 2023 edition of the Green Ghana Day Celebration.

The Chief subsequently apologized and explained that he was unable to stand due to ill health.

Godwin Mahama, a member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) insists, Edwina should also apologise.

Speaking in an interaction on Neat FM’s ‘Me Man Nti’ program, he said: “We need to force the President to make sure his daughter apologizes just as the Chief also did. I agree it’s not a national event but anywhere the National Anthem is being played, you need to acknowledge it so the President must ensure his daughter renders an apology. She is the daughter of the President but she is not above the law”.
