Hearts of Oak Board Member Dr Nyaho Tamakloe wants Coach Samuel Boadu sacked?

Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has questioned the tactical prowess of the head coach of the side, Samuel Boadu, insisting he is not the right man to lead the club to Africa.

The former Medeama SC head coach came under intense pressure following their exit from the Champions League and the Confederations Cup last season.

Having struggled to make an impact in the just-ended 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, Boadu propelled his side to win the MTN FA Cup against Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The young trainer will lead the team for the Africa campaign but Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe is not convinced with the technical team in charge of the club.

According to him, Hearts of Oak is a big club and must be coached by a high-profile gaffer.

“I have a problem with Hearts of Oak’s technical direction of the club, most of the players appear to be indisciplined in the team and are either aged or lazy,” Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe told Accra-based Angel FM.

“I strongly have my doubt that the technical team can do well in Africa. Hearts of Oak is a big club and must always be in the hand of a big coach like Attiquayefio.

“I believe the current technical team can’t carry us far,” he added.

Agyemang Badu optimistic about Ghana Premier League return

– Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is optimistic about playing in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), possibly next season.

Agyemang Badu, who once played for Asante Kotoko in 2008, is currently without a club after his contract with Chinese club Qingdao FC ended.

According to the 31-year-old energetic midfielder, he still had plans to play in Europe next season but would play for a local team if a deal doesn’t work out in Europe.

In an interview with GNA Sports, Agyemang-Badu revealed that a couple of GPL teams had approached him about a possible move, but was weighing up his options before he decides.

“I have had offers to play in the GPL from numerous teams in Accra and Kumasi, but I still want to go back to Europe with my agents still working out things.

“So let’s see if nothing happens for me in Europe, I am 120% optimistic about featuring in the Ghana Premier League next season,” he said.

He added that he was happy with the competitiveness of the just-ended league and rated it at 80% despite the hitches that came up at the latter stages of the season.

Agyemang Badu played an instrumental role when Ghana’s Black Satellites won the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Egypt in 2009, having also featured at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
