The Rotary Club of Accra Cantonments has donated 5 wheelchairs to the Weija Leprosarium.
The President of Cantonments Rotary Club, Nunya Kwame Afare handing over the items to the facility noted that the donation of the items is part of its Community service project.
The president on behalf of the organization gave the assurance that they would continue to support the Leprosarium and also called on cooperate organizations to help the less privileged in the society.
The Caretaker of the Weija Leprosarium under the auspices of the Lepers Aid Committee, Mr. George Quansah who received the items on behalf of the facility, thanked the Cantonments Rotary Club for their donation.
“On behalf of the Management of the Weija Leprosarium, I want to thank the Cantonments Rotary club for coming to the aid of the inmates” he added.
Also present at the donation were the Immediate past president, Paa Kwesi, Assistant Governor Charles, and the project committee member, Reginald Crabbe.
