The Management and Technical team of the Black Princesses held a meeting with the leadership of the Ghana Football Association on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

The meeting which was chaired by the Vice President, Mark Addo, was to discuss a number of issues including preparations towards the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup slated for Costa Rica.

Others included General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) and Director of National Teams and Deputy General Secretary Alex Asante. Also present in the meeting were Chairman of the Management Committee Linford Asamoah Boadu, Head of Ben Fokuo and other Members of the Management Committee.

The meeting also discussed measures and plans that would help the team to perform well at the world stage.

Management Committee Chairman, Lindford Asamoah Boadu believes early preparations would be immensely beneficial to the team.

“We called on the GFA today to bring to their attention our needs and measures we have discussed as management and technical team to help the Princesses,” he said.

“A lot was discussed at the meeting and we are very glad that the GFA is willing to help us make our campaign a success. They listened to us and advised us on what needs to be done”

“We will have several meetings going forward to know how to help strengthen the team to compete at the world stage. We want to break the jinx of not qualifying from the group stage and I believe this team is capable of doing that,” he added.

General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.) also assured the team of maximum support to help them bring laurels to the nation.

“We will do our part as an Association to support you to bring glory to the country. We know there are few things that need to be done before the World Cup.

‘’We know they will resume campaign soon to keep them in shape for the tournament so you can always count on the Association for the maximum support.” he said.

The Black Princesses will resume camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Monday, May 2, with 40 players expected in to report to camp.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup is slated for Costa Rica in August, 2022.
