It seems the decision by President Akufo-Addo to revoke the ministerial appointment of Hon. Sarah Adwoa Sarfo has not been welcomed by some Ghanaians, especially the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC.

President Akufo-Addo on Friday, 29th July, 2022 through a press statement issued by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communication at the Presidency indicated the decision was in accordance with the 1992 constitution.

However, Akuapem North NDC Deputy Youth Organiser, Ahmed Agbenyadzi has asked the President and the Economic Management Team to focus on reviving it rather the ailing economy than bothering Ghanaians with internal party issues.

He argued the issue regarding Dome-Kwabenya lawmaker should not take the centre stage of the country’s current debate as there are more pressing issues that are affecting Ghanaians badly due to poor management of the economy over the past six years.

“My brother, I don’t know why this Government is disturbing Ghanaians with this issue of Adwoa Sarfo. Even NPP MPs who are always present at Parliament have not done anything positive to support the government so are they not the same as Hon. Adwoa Sarfo? Ghanaians are expecting President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia to fix the broken economy not this back and forth issue of Adwoa Sarfo,” Ahmed Agbenyadzi told the reporter in an interview.

The NDC Communicator added that Ghanaians are now living in pain and anguish due to the effects of the current state of the economy, making life very difficult for many.

He, however, assured Ghanaians the next NDC government in 2025 will ensure good and pragmatic policies are implemented to redeem the country from the economic mess.
