Bethel-Grace Retreat Centre donates to widows

Accra, The Reverend Thomas Aidoo, General Overseer of Bethel-Grace Retreat Centre, has asked Ghanaians to pray for the President and his team to help government attain its developmental goals.

He said ‘As a people, we need to exercise patience and give the government enough time to execute its development agenda’.

The General Overseer said the church as a community also had a part to play in the development of the country and that any expected development would come from both the citizenry and the government as a whole.

Rev. Aidoo made the call when speaking when the church donated food items and clothes to widows in Kwabenya and its environs in Accra.

He tasked Ghanaians to show love and compassion to widows and support them to enable them to live a meaningful life.

Rev. Aidoo said being a widow does not make anything less than a human, therefore, must treat her as humans since anyone could be widowed.

He said in situation where some women were maltreated and branded witches after the death of their husbands does not augur well in the Ghanaian society.

The General Overseer urged them to rely on God Almighty in the time of their bereavement.

Prophetess Martha Aidoo, wife of Reverend Aidoo also tasked the widows to have faith in the Lord and also try as much as possible to go into an income generation ventures.
