Atwima Mponua Rural Bank strategizes to attract more customers

Kumasi The Atwima Mponua Rural Bank Limited, has pledged to continually provide excellent banking services to its customers and ensure progressive optimal performances that would benefit shareholders.

Mr. John Swanzy, the Chairman of the Bank, said the aim was to grow the clientele base of the bank, increase profit of shareholders and position the bank to enable it to survive the emerging challenges in the financial sector.

Mr. Swanzy was speaking to the media after a short ceremony after relocating the Suntreso branch of the bank to the Sofoline lorry Terminal, as part of a strategy to attract more customers, especially market women and drivers, who operated at that location.

The Bank, which started operations about three decades ago, currently has eight branches in the Ashanti and Western North Regions.

Its products include savings and current accounts, fixed deposits, ‘Susu’ accounts, salary loans, overdraft, funeral loans, commercial loans, transport loans, agricultural loans and foreign remittances.

Mr. Swanzy said as part of its corporate social responsibility, the Bank recently inaugurated a two-storey six-unit classroom block, valued GHc 436,806.00, for the Toase M/A Basic School.

It had also donated a computer and accessories each to the Nkawie Court and District Health Directorate and provided air conditioners to the Mankranso Government Hospital, as well as rehabilitating street lights in that community.
