Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, the Managing Director of AMV, said the new reality show was the brainchild of Mr Samuel Amo Tobbin, the Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group of Companies.

Mr Dwumfour said judges would hold 40 per cent of the total scores while 60 per cent would be based on public voting.

He said the overall winner of the maiden edition of Kronkron would take home a set of musical instruments and GH10,000.00 cash while first runner up and second runner up would walk away with GH10,000.00 and GH5,000.00 cash respectively.

He said judges would look out for style of the music, the voice quality, diction, appearance of singers, the artistic acumen and spirituality of the performance.

Mr Roland Affail Monney, President of the GJA, said it was commendable that a media house could initiate such an innovative programme to entertain its teeming audience through worship.

He said he was of the firm belief that the programme would qualitatively transform the form of entertainment on most media platforms.

He urged the audience not to miss the show as music is a renewing source of energy common for everyone in the world without any boarders.
