Black Stars defender, Mohammed Salisu is attracting interest from French clubs AS Monaco and Olympique Marseille have expressed their interest in signing Ghana defender, Mohammed Salisu.

According to Jeunes Footeux, Monaco wants the Ghanaian as a replacement for Benoit Badiashile, who joined Chelsea in January in a €40-million deal.

Meanwhile, Southampton will not allow one of their prized assets to leave for cheap, particularly due to his outstanding displays in the English Premier League.

The 23-year-old was also one of Ghana’s standout performers at the World Cup in Qatar, scoring in the 3-2 win against South Korea.

This season, the defender has racked up 22 appearances across all competitions for the Saints and was rock solid as Southampton defeated Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

Salisu joined Southampton in the summer of 2020 from Spanish outfit, Real Valladolid and has gradually become a key figure for the club.
