Accra,- The Most Reverend Dr Cyril Kobina Ben-Smith, Anglican Archbishop of Ghana, at the weekend installed National Executives of the Anglican Men’s Fellowship (AMF), with a call on them to be steadfast in their service to God.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Christ the King Anglican Church, Sakumono, Tema West, had members of the guild from across the country in attendance.
It was on the theme: “Trust ye in the Lord; for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength – Isaiah 26:4”.
The Archbishop, in a homily, called on the new executives and members alike to be steadfast and unwavering in their service to God, and develop Christian characters to lead the unsaved to Christ.
He admonished them to allow themselves to be vessels of God, make scripture part of their dealings, and strive collectively to transform the Church.
Administering the installation oath, he charged the executives to carry out their duties with zeal and faithfulness and reposition the Anglican Church of Ghana for growth.
Brother Horatio Mends, was installed National President of the Fellowship with Brother Peter Amponsah as National Secretary.
The rest were; Brothers Stephen Quartey, National Assistant General Secretary, Emmanuel Happy Agnenyikey, National Organiser, Daniel Odartey Lamptey, Assistant Organiser, Southern Sector, Maxwell Zong, Assistant Organiser, Northern Sector, Agyei Boadi, Chaplain, Peter S. Mensah, National Treasurer.
Eight other Diocesan Presidents were installed as members of the National Executive Council.
