Anglican Church to consecrate Bishop Coadjutor for Koforidua

Koforidua, The Anglican Church is to consecrate Very Reverend Felix Odei Annancy, Dean of the Koforidua St. Peter’s Cathedral, as the Bishop Coadjutor for the Koforidua Diocese on November 5, this year at Koforidua.

Very Rev. Annancy would be enthroned as the Anglican Bishop of Koforidua in March next year after the retirement of Rt Rev. Francis Benjamin Quashie , the current Bishop of the Diocese in February next year.

Very Rev Annancy is the second Bishop Coadjutor to be consecrated by the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church since the establishment of the diocese in 1981.

After his enthronement, Very Rev Anancy would be the third Bishop of the Diocese after Archbishop Robert Garshon Allotey Okine and Bishop Quashie.

The Bishop Coadjutor was ordained into the priesthood in 1988 at the St. Augustine Anglican Church at Larteh.

He is an old student of Benkum Secondary School, now Benkum Senior High School, Larteh and graduate of the University of Manchester, UK and the University of Ghana.

Very Rev Annancy comes on board with a lot of experience within the Koforidua Diocese as former Dean of the St Peter’s Cathedral, Archdeacon of Oda Archdeaconary , Director of the Diocesan Ministerial Education Centre and priest in-charge of many parishes including; Akosombo, Akuse, Nsawam, Kibi and Obo.
