Accra- As Ghanaian music strives to get recognized in the world, Dancehall star Stonebwoy, has set the pace with a ruthless fourth studio album titled “Anloga Junction”.
The 15-track set opens
with “Le Gba Gbe” a classic and masterpiece in ”Ewe” dialect which
shows the diversity of the Ghanaian seeking a global outreach.
Stonebwoy’s eloquence and his admiration for
African cultural diplomacy is illuminated with African Party and Idol tracks
eulogizing the African beauty with traditional percussions with some exciting
groove.
The “Nkuto” track featuring legendary Ghanaian
Highlife musician Kojo Antwi contains some heartwarming words in the Twi
dialect in highlife reggae banger and some stunning lyrics coupled with Kojo
Antwi’s silky and powerful voice reliving his good old days in his illustrious
career.
For those getting ready to step onto the dance
floor, “Critical” featuring Nigerian artiste Zlatan would keep your
feet wobbling in an infectious classic Afro-beat.
Stonebwoy demonstrates his singing prowess on
mid-tempo ”Nominate” track featuring American singer Keri Hilson with some
inspirational love lyrics that would heal hearts.
Other songs on the album include Bow Down,
Motion, Only Love, Good Morning, Strength and Hope, Black Madonna, Motion, Ever
Lasting, Critical, Understand, and Journey.
Stonebwoy prior to album release was optimistic
that the album would cross borders at a time where the world is paying
attention to Africa.
Stonebwoy adds that the title ”Anloga
Junction” was inspired by the representation of home genres as well as the
West.
The highlights of the Anloga Junction album
represent hard work, talents, forward-thinking perseverance which exemplifies a
real Afro-beat classic.
