Akim Swedru Constituency ends polling station election
Akim Swedru (E/R) – The New Patriotic (NPP) in Akim Swedru Constituency ended its polling station election with most aspirants running unopposed.
Mr Danso Asare, the Constituency Secretary for the NPP briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said, the eligible members of the party voted in all 41 polling stations in the area.
He said, they voted for aspirants for positions of chairman, organiser, secretary, youth organiser and women organiser.
Some of the polling stations included; Ahenbronom, Soame A, B, C, Pentecost church, Arabic school, Roman Catholic boys and Roman Catholic girls.
After the declaration of the winning aspirants for the election, they were sworn-in to officially represent the party at various polling stations in the 2020 general election to check any illegal activity.
The party’s polling station official election, which started on January 17, 2018, ended at Jan 21 across the country.
In another development, Mr. Benjamin Baiden, the Akim Oda Constituency Secretary for the NPP said, eligible members of the party voted peacefully in 71 polling stations in the area.
Some polling stations in the Constituency were PWD camp, Presby, Municipal Assembly A and B, morning star.
