Adaklu: Mr. Governs Kwame Agbodza, the Minister for Roads and Highways, has announced the government’s commitment to establishing a significant legacy in the road sector of Ghana. During a thank you tour of the Adaklu Constituency, he assured the chiefs and people of Adaklu Kodzobi of the government’s dedication to addressing the poor condition of roads across the country.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Agbodza emphasized the government’s awareness of the challenges with the nation’s roads and its determination to resolve these issues. He revealed that construction would soon commence on the Atimpoku through Ho to Aflao road, which is set to be asphalted. Additionally, roads within the Adaklu district, such as the Adaklu Abuadi to Adaklu Kordiabe and Ho Mirage to Adaklu Kodzobi roads, are slated for development.
The Minister expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he and President John Mahama received from the people during the last general elections. He reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling all promises made in the party’s manifesto, which had garnered significant voter support. Mr. Agbodza also highlighted the government’s efforts to reduce unemployment by creating job opportunities for the youth, urging them to prioritize education as a means to a better future.
Togbe Dzegblade IV, the Chief of the community, urged the Minister to enhance the road network in Adaklu and beyond. In appreciation of his service, the community presented Mr. Agbodza and his wife with kente cloths, alongside a citation recognizing his contributions to the country and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The local NDC branch also gifted smocks to Mr. Agbodza and Mr. Jerry Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive, acknowledging their efforts.
