Accra, June 2, GNA-AS Roma striker Felix Afena-Gyan scored his first international goal for the senior national team, the Black Stars.
Afena-Gyan who was making his third appearance for the Black Stars in their group opener of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar, was on the scoresheet in the 3-0 thumping of their opponent.
The 19-year old showed class when he delivered a classy finish after a delightful cross from Gideon Mensah in the 56th minute of the encounter.
Afena-Gyan was full of agility, having played 76 minutes, and was substituted by debutant Antoine Semenyo.
The highly-rated youngster played a crucial role for the Black Stars as they edged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Gyan was part of the AS Roma side that won the maiden edition of the UEFA Conference League.
