Aduana Stars thumps Fosa Juniors 6-1

Accra Confederation Cup campaigners Aduana Stars recorded an emphatic 6-1 victory over Fosa Juniors of Madagasca in the first leg of the competition played at the Osagyefo Agyemang Park on Sunday.

The wide margin victory, would enhance the chances of the Ghanaian side in progressing to the next stage of the competition as the team from the island country may not be able to overturn the defeat to deny Aduana Stars the opportunity to progress.

The Ghanaian side had to survive an early scare from Juniors, who took the lead in the 3rd minute through Jose Adrian, but Elvis Opoku levelled up for them in the 8th minute.

Sam Adams stretched the lead for Aduana Stars in the 31st and 39th minutes when he converted two penalties easily to end the first half with smiles on the faces of the home crowd.

Aduana Stars were rewarded again with a penalty in the 67th minute and Zakaria Mumuni was on hand to covert, whilst Opoku went on the score sheet again in the 84th minute to put the game beyond the islanders.

Bright Adjei made it six for Aduana Stars in the 88th minute, to seal victory for the failed CAF Champions league campaigners.

Aduana Stars looks good for progress into the league stages of the competition as the second leg.
