Abeadzeman celebrates 2018 Ahobaa Kese peacefully

Abeadze Dominase (C/R) – Mr. Kwamena Duncan, Central Regional Minister has lauded the Chiefs and people of Abeadze Traditional Area for celebrating their Ahobaa Kese Festival peacefully.

He urged them to sustain and improve on the cohesion that led them over the years to achieve that success story and emphasised the need for other traditional areas in the region to emulate their example.

Mr Duncan made commendation while addressing a durbar of the Chiefs and People of Abeadze Traditional Area to climax their 2018 Ahobaa Kese festival, which coincided with the 20th celebrations of Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII’s reign as the Paramount Chief of Abeadze Traditional Area at Dominase.

The festival was on the theme ‘Improving education; the key to the success of transforming the lives of people in Ghanaand was graced by imminent persons, including; the academia, Colleague Nananom and well-wishers from far and near.

Other dignitaries at the durbar were; Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boating former minister of state and also Member of Parliament for Mfantsiman, Mr Spio Garbrah, a Presidential aspirant of the NDC.

He said it was known that Daasebre Ewusi VII who is also the Vice President of the National House of Chief through his inspirational leadership brought much social and economic development to the traditional area.

He mentioned the Nana Ewusi foundation, which had been outstanding in the area of awarding scholarships to a number of brilliant, but needy students in the traditional area and Mfantsiman as a whole to pursue Senior High School and Tertiary Institutions.

The Minister announced that the Central Regional Coordinating Council was committed to ensuring that most of the major trunk roads in the region were reshaped and tarred.

He particularly mentioned the Mankessim through Dominase linking Tetsi junction roads.

He said his out-fit in collaboration with Heads of the Ghana Highways Authority, Urban and Feeder Roads in the region had series of engagements with the Sector Ministers of Roads and Transport on the urgency of the roads and assured that work would be commence on them very soon..

The Central Regional Minister said the development of the region had not kept pace with the times and efforts were underway to roll out the awaited Coastal Development Authority and called on the leadership of Nananom as critical stakeholders to support and guide the authority to deliver on its mandate.

Undoubtedly there are a number of other policy directions from the government which as a region, we creatively take advantage of, I thus urge for a collective and renewed concerted effort at embracing them for the benefit of the region, he added.

Mr Ekow Kwansah Hayford in his Goodwill Message, reminded them on the need for unity, saying ‘it is about time for us to come together as one people with a common heritage as we plan and forge ahead for the future.’

He stated that it is only when we are united that we can stand, by coming together we can strongly forge hard to access the massive opportunities the government has put in place.

Mr. Kenneth K. Essuman MCE for Mfantsiman congratulated the Daasebre Ewusi VII for championing education and educational development that has endeared Abeadman and Mfantseman.

He urged the Nananom in the Municipality to take keen interest in the educational development in the municipality by taking advantage of the free SHS to work to improve standards in the basic schools.
