Abede Ayew Pele, a Ghanaian football legend and father of the Ayew brothers (Dede Ayew and Jordan Ayew) has opined on Jordan’s improvement in the ongoing World Cup.

He has indicated that his son will continue to put on incredible performances that will force his critics to like him.

In a tweet on Tuesday, November 29, the former African player of the year asserted that his son symbolises brightness.

“You will surely be bailouts Jordan Ayew Alhamdulillah. Brightness all over you,” he wrote.

Ghana and Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew received praise following his impressive performance in Ghana’s game against South Korea on Monday, November 28.

He trended on social media, particularly on Twitter, with a lot of people lauding him with the hashtags “drop the hate” and “we are sorry.”

The 31-year-old contributed to Ghana’s second goal with an impressive pass that was netted by Mohammed Kudus.

Before the game, many fans were criticising the coach for making him a starter because of what they described as his “bad” performance in Ghana against Portugal’s game on Thursday, November 28.

But his performance until he was substituted in the 77th minute was an eyesore and a greater portion of Ghana’s 3-2 win over the Asians.

Ghana’s victory at the Education City Stadium marks the team’s five-game winless run in FIFA World Cup games since their defeat to Uruguay in the 2010 South Africa FIFA World Cup quarterfinal match.

Kudus was adjudged the man of the match after setting the record as Ghana’s first player to score two goals in a single World Cup game.

“I want to thank all my teammates for playing their part in my winning the man of the match,” he said in a post-match interview, adding that the Black Stars are “fully confident” going into the Uruguay game. “We are coming in 100%” against Uruguay on Friday, December 2.

Repented Moesha back, flaunts her body

Socialite Moesha Budoung has given hints, she may be returning to her old ways on social media, several years after allegedly surrendering her life to ‘worshipping Jesus Christ.’

In her alleged latest video in circulation, she could be seen gyrating to a song by Ayra Starr ‘Rush’.

She danced wildly and made some suggestive movements while she seductively touched her breast and others.

A red bodycom she was wearing indeed showed her body contours, leaving many people to wonder if she hadn’t gone back to her old ways.

She went on to ask her followers not to be surprised when they see her preaching.

After that incident, a lot happened in her life.

Since that time she has made posts and comments on social media but not anything commercial related. Now she said she is open for business.

Akufo-Addo must apologise to Rawlings for increasing VAT – Eduzie Tamakloe

A member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Godwin Eduzie Tamakloe, has demanded an unqualified apology from President Nana Addo over his decision to increase Value Added Tax (VAT) by 2.5 per cent in the 2023 budget statement.

According to him, it beats his imagination that this is happening when Ghanaians are already paying as much as 21 per cent all in the name of the service taxes.

“This government has introduced various taxes that has culminated in the push of the VAT,” he said and cited Covid and ‘Borla’ among other taxes.

He said VAT under this government is hovering around 21 per cent.

The lawyer who is also an aide to former president John Dramani Mahama was speaking on Accra 100.5 FM mid-day news on Monday, November 28, 2022.

He asked the president to tell the good people of Ghana the rate at which VAT was pegged when it was introduced by the late Jerry John Rawlings’ administration.

He noted that the president, in opposition, led thousands of Ghanaians to demonstrate against the introduction of VAT leading to the demise of some innocent people.

“Is that the same rate he (Nana Addo) is charging today?

“What was the VAT rate the president led the innocent people to demonstrate against, he should tell us?

“If I wake up from my sleep and I am told that Nana Addo as president will increase VAT, I will go back to sleep,” he said.

For increasing VAT, Mr Tamakloe urged Nana Akufo-Addo to render a posthumous apology to the memory of former president J.J. Rawlings.

“The president should do as Rawlings did by abolishing the increment at the time people are reeling,” he said.

He said since the NPP government came to office, VAT has generated about GHS20 billion.

He reminded the president to come out and appreciate the efforts of the former president Rawlings in connection with the introduction of VAT.

According to him, the government is full of braggarts with little ideas.

He was categorical to say as for Vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, time will expose him.

“Time will expose him like it has exposed his boss since he led the chart as head of the Economic Management Team to run the economy down,” he said.
