Ex-Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu agree terms with Asante Kotoko – Reports

Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is on the verge of re-joining Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2022/23 Ghana football season.

The former Udinese Calcio ace has reached an agreement with the Porcupine Warriors according to multiple media reports.

Badu with his wealth of experience is expected to reignite the Kotoko squad as they feature in the 2022-23 CAF Champions League.

The U-20 World Cup winner had always made his intentions clear to return to Asante Kotoko, claiming he has unfinished business with the Ghanaian giants.

According to sources from the club, the deal is subjected to the approval of the technical team.

Agyemang-Badu was part of the Black Stars squad that played in the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

He has been clubless after leaving Qingdao after making just four appearances. Agyemang-Badu made 78 appearances for the Black Stars and scored 11 goals.

NPP Elections: Some incumbent lost because they changed their contacts every two weeks – Ama Daaku reveals

Hellen Ama Daaku, a communication team member for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and an aspirant in the Women’s Organiser race in the just-ended NPP national executive elections, has made some shocking revelations that led to the defeat of some incumbents.

Miss Ama Daaku, who also lost in her race with only nine (9) votes, alleged that some of the defeated national executives were changing their contacts every two weeks to avoid party members.

“Some of our executives who were defeated used to change their phone numbers every two weeks to prevent members from reaching them and that’s why they were defeated,” she alleged.

She continues “It’s very painful to treat your own party members this way, so the people you treated like this may be spreading the news to others who may be delegates and that’s what accounted for the defeat of some incumbent officials.”

Miss Ama Daaku advises the newly elected executives not to tow the lane of their predecessors inorder not to suffer similar fate. “I’m pleading with you our new executives from the chairman to the lowest rank to unite the party for a common cause so all of us will start campaigning from now till the next election (2024).”
