Bundesliga: Bremen coach quits after using fake vaccination papers

German second-division side Werder Bremen have parted company with head coach Marcus Anfang, who resigned on Saturday amid an investigation for using fake vaccination documents.

“Due to the very difficult situation for the club, the team, my family and myself, I have decided to resign as coach of Werder Bremen with immediate effect,” Anfang said in a statement.

The 47-year-old has been at the centre of a scandal since Thursday when it emerged he is under police investigation for using fake documents to claim he was fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Anfang previously denied the allegations in a statement, which disappeared from the Bremen website by Saturday.

Managing director Frank Baumann told Bremen’s TV channel that there have been “further developments and a different state of affairs – the facts have changed”.

Assistant coach Florian Junge, who is also under investigation, has resigned alongside Anfang.

Danijel Zenkovic, Anfang’s other assistant coach, is in charge for Saturday’s match against Schalke, who were relegated alongside Bremen last season.

Both Schalke and Bremen are in mid-table as they bid to return to the Bundesliga.

2022 WCQ: Legendary Mark Fish doubts South Africa will win protest against Ghana

Former South Africa international, Mark Fish says he does not believe FIFA will overturn the results despite the protest lodged by the South Africa Football Association [SAFA] against Ghana.

Following Bafana Bafana’s defeat to Ghana in the final round of games of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, SAFA have lodged a complaint to the world football governing body, accusing Ghana of manipulation and match-fixing.

SAFA are critical of the performance of Senegalese referee, Maguette Ndiaye and his other assistants including the majority of his calls in the first half of the encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium.

However while Fish believes his side have a case, he believes it will be difficult for FIFA to rule in favour of South Africa.

“It’s difficult. We can see the efforts of the players throughout the qualifying. It’s a shame that Ghana had a penalty that didn’t look like a penalty,” Fish said as quoted by the Daily Sun.

“This has forfeited Bafana players a chance to qualify. We can only imagine what the coaches and players are going through. Why are we not having VAR in qualifying round?

“I am not saying it’s perfect, but it can assist referees to make better decisions.

“They (Safa) launched a protest, but I doubt if Fifa will overturn it. Two weeks ago, there was an incident in a game between AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs, where the referee made a controversial decision.

“The referee got suspended, but the results remained. The PSL must be front runners and have VAR to set the standard for the rest of the continent,” he added.

The defeat saw South Africa lose to Ghana and miss out on the chance to partake in the playoffs for a spot in the Mundial.

Ghana have been asked to respond to the complaints raised by Safa by November 20, as Fifa look yo commence investigation.

BRIDGEWATER, NEW JERSEY, 19 nov.

Our Lady Warns The World Of Impending Disaster In EWTN’s “Kibeho: Listen My Children”

IRONDALE, Ala., Nov. 20, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Many have heard of the horrific genocide that took place in Rwanda in 1994, when 200,000 Hutus slaughtered 800,000 Tutsis and some moderate Hutus – their own countrymen. But few are aware that Our Lady warned the country about the impending disaster – and how to avoid it – during a series of apparitions to three school girls 12 years earlier. The visions of destruction, torture, and human carnage as well as a river of blood viewed by one of the visionaries were so terrifying that the young girl told Our Lady she was afraid she would never be able to sleep again.

“Kibeho: Listen My Children," which details the warning that Our Lady of Kibeho gave three Rwandan schoolgirls 12 years before the 1994 genocide, premieres at 10 p.m. ET, Wed., Nov. 24, with encores at 1:30 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. ET, Sun., Nov. 28, https://bit.ly/KibehoTrailer. Features Immaculée IIlibagiza, the woman who told the world about the genocide in the 2017 best-selling book, “Left to Tell,” which was later made into a well-known documentary by the same name.

“Kibeho: Listen My Children,” an EWTN Original production, premieres at 10 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Nov. 24, with encores at 1:30 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. ET, Sunday, Nov. 28. (Click here for the trailer: https://bit.ly/KibehoTrailer.

The Nov. 24 premiere will be preceded at 8 a.m. ET by “EWTN Live,” with Immaculée IIlibagiza, who appears prominently in the docudrama. Immaculée is the woman who told the world about the genocide in the 2017 best-selling book, “Left to Tell,” which was later made into a well-known documentary by the same name.

In addition to observations from Immaculée, the docudrama includes footage of the actual Rwandan school girl visionaries, the mental torture they endured by those who did not believe them, the doctors who were charged with determining if they were mentally ill, and church officials who made the final determination.

EWTN Global Catholic Network

Among other things, Our Lady of Kibeho requested that the people of Rwanda pray the Seven Sorrows Rosary, a devotion given to St. Bridget centuries earlier which had largely been forgotten. During the genocide, the sisters at the convent school the visionaries attended prayed this rosary from morning to evening. All survived the bloodbath. In the film, we witness Our Lady taking one of the visionaries, Marie Claire Mukangango, to heaven, hell and purgatory. When Marie Claire asks Our Lady why she was shown these places, she tells her: “I showed you so you know the life that matters most is what is coming after this life on earth. Go and tell everyone. Encourage them to live the right way. Tell them to live without respecting God is the ultimate waste of time. They will regret it bitterly.” Our Lady also said: “You have to tell the people that these places actually exist. To refuse Jesus is to refuse paradise.”

There is much more to tell about these apparitions. This is a story no one who cares about eternal life should miss.
