Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and Jordan Ayew hit top form a week to AFCON

Ghana trio, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, and Jordan Ayew have hit top form ahead of the start of the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on January 9, 2022.

The three players are part of the Black Stars squad invited by Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac for the delayed tournament set to be staged in Cameroon from January to February.

Over the past weekend, all three players featured for their respective clubs for the last time before they travel to Doha, Qatar, to join other Black Stars players in camp to prepare for the upcoming tournament.

Fortunately, for Ghana, all players displayed excellent form and now look set to be key for the Black Stars in the quest to win a fifth AFCON title.

Defender Alexander Djiku was superb in defense for Racing Strasbourg in the game against Montpellier on Sunday.

In a game where his team narrowly suffered a defeat, the centre-back earned a high rating of 7.7 as he finished the weekend as the top-rated Ghanaian player abroad.

The list put together by Modernghana Sports partners SofaScore has Jordan Ayew in second. The striker featured for Crystal Palace on Saturday when they lost 3-2 to West Ham United.

He was excellent throughout his stay on the pitch as well as Thomas Partey who won Man of the Match award after his super performance against Manchester City while in action for Arsenal.
