Stand Ghana celebrates Christmas with Gbi Atabu, Kledzo women

Hohoe (V/R),– Stand Ghana, an Accra-based human rights promotion group, has presented food items including rice to more than 100 women from the Gbi Atabu and Gbi Kledzo communities in the Hohoe Municipality.

Madam Rosemary Kayi, Founder and Executive Director, Stand Ghana, said the gesture, being an annual activity formed part of the Christmas celebration and put smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries.

She said the gesture also saw the formation of women groups in the communities to enable the discussion of women issues, empower and create awareness about socio-economic issues for the women towards their progress.

Madam Kayi noted that other elderly and vulnerable people in the communities would benefit from the gesture.

She called on the beneficiaries to continue adhering to the coronavirus safety protocols to enable a healthy life.

Madam Akosua Gidi, Representative of Mama Nyeamadzorse of Gbi Atabu, on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Stand Ghana for the kind gesture for putting smiles on their faces.
