GNA gets results: ATC Builds Network Tower at Krachi East

Kparekpare (O/R)- Following a Ghana News Agency (GNA) publication appealing to Telcos for improved network connection at Kparekpare in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, the American Tower Corporation (ATC) is providing wireless infrastructure to enable the community to get a better internet service.

Residents told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that with the construction of a tower their perennial network connection challenges would be relegated to the background.

They said they were looking forward to ending the practice of searching for elevated points to secure network connection.

Some mobile money vendors were also elated at the development in the area.

They were hopeful that customers that they lost to network challenges would return.

Nana Foster Atta Owusu III, Chief of Kparekpare, expressed his excitement about the positive response and thanked the Ghana News Agency (GNA) for its reports that had attracted solutions to their socio-economic challenges.

He also thanked the ATC, which is the leading independent owner, operator, and developer of broadcast wireless communication, for providing very advanced technology and for their human development support across the world.

The GNA could, however, not reach the engineers of the project for an interview.

However, it is reported that about 90 per cent of work had been done and hopeful and the network would be operational by January.
