Sunyani,- The Bono Regional Office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Monday, congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominees for the positions of the Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region.
The Party also expressed appreciation to the President for what it described as his diligent work in appointing competent hands to steer the affairs of the Assemblies in the region.
A statement issued and signed by Mr. Seth Asare Bediako, the Bono Regional Communications Director of the NPP and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, however, appealed to the Party’s communicators to be mindful of their “communications especially, the interviews they grant and the mischievous media houses that would try to hit heads together to generate controversies.
“We must always remember that we have an eight-year jinx to break”, it said and called on Assembly Members not to delay in the confirmation of the President’s nominees to fast-track socio-economic development across the country.
The statement appealed to the Party supporters to remain united and “trust the judgement of the appointing authority since every nominee was selected after a broader consultation and in the interest of the nation”.
It urged the President’s nominees to justify the confidence reposed in them by excelling at their respective Assemblies.
