Hearts of Oak legend, Charles Taylor has cautioned Chelsea forward, Callum Hudson Odoi not to play for Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars.
Hudson Odoi, who has been in the West African country for holidays has dominated the local media following his arrival.
Upon his arrival. the Europa League and Champions League winner has met President Akufo Addo, Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif and the hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association [GFA].
Several discussions have been held in the bid of convincing the enterprising forward to play for Ghana.
However, Taylor, who is regarded as one of the best players to ever grace the local league has advised Callum Hudson-Odoi to stick with the Three Lions of England and not to ever have the perception of featuring for the Black Stars.
“If Odoi is listening to me, I will advise him not to think of playing for the Black Stars,” he told Agel TV.
“He should continue playing for England even if it is under 100.
“He should play for them than to play for the Black Stars. Ghana will end your career should decide to play for the Black Stars,” he added.
The 20-year-old played 37 matches across all competitions contributing to 10 goals for Chelsea in all competitions in the 2020/21 season.
