Yapei-Kusawgu: Come join us; NDC remains the only party that offers hope, pragmatic solutions — Communication officer to angry NPP footsoldiers

The Communications Officer of the opposition NDC for Yapei-Kusawgu constituency in the Savannah Region, Mr. Alidu Abdul Aziz, has intimated that the NDC remains the only party that offers hope and pragmatic solutions to the many challenges confronting the current generation in the constituency.

He said this in a press release in reaction to an intended demonstration organized by a pro-NPP youth group calling itself Coalition of Aggrieved Foot Soldiers in the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency over what they described as failure on the part of the NPP government to appoint even a single member from the constituency to serve in government.

According to the aggrieved youth group, they cannot boast of having a single person in the current government despite their toil for the party which culminated in the party’s victory in both the 2016 and 2020 elections.

Mr. Abdul Aziz has thus sympathized with the aggrieved group wondering why the leadership of their party will at this point neglect them.

“We in the NDC have been briefed of all the happenings and wish to stand by the aggrieved youth as we do not see why their leadership will at this point neglect them and also deny them the opportunity to register their displeasure,” he stated.

He therefore urged them to rally their support behind the “visionary” John Mahama, NDC and the member of Parliament for the area, Hon. John Jinapor to deliver them from what he described as “the shackles of poverty, and many others.”

“I therefore entreat all and sundry to throw our support behind the visionary John Mahama, our MP Hon. John Jinapor and the NDC to come and salvage our nation from the shackles of poverty, mismanagement, corruption, thievery and unprecedented family and friends governance,” he posited.

He also served notice that the NDC will in the coming days, officially meet with the leadership of the aggrieved youth for a positive resolution.

Meanwhile, a source close to the aggrieved youth group has revealed that the Savannah Regional chairman of NPP, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana has been in touched with them to have their grievances resolved.

The source also alleged that there have been several attempts by a group of faceless persons to have their intended demonstration truncated including threats of deploying security officers to visit mayhem on them.
