South Africa’s main man, Percy Tau has noted that the Bafana Bafana will try to exploit their home advantage to defeat Ghana on Thursday when they host the Black Stars in the qualifiers to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Group C of the qualifiers to the AFCON tournament scheduled to be hosted in Cameroon will be set ablaze on Thursday when South Africa and Ghana face off in Johannesburg.
Tied on the standings of the group on nine points, both teams are geared up for the win to earn the advantage to secure qualification at the end of the qualifiers.
Speaking to Safa.net ahead of the big game, Percy Tau has expressed optimism in the chances of South Africa beating Ghana.
According to him, his side hopes to capitalize on their home advantage to beat the Black Stars.
“We all know if one loses and another one wins, the winner gains advantage to go to AFCON but I am confident that we will work hard and we should get the all-important result.
“We also want to use the home ground advantage we have over Ghana and do better than we did against them in the away game,” Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau said in the interview.
The crucial meeting between South Africa and Ghana will be played on Thursday, March 25, 2021, and will kick-off at 16:00GMT.
