Experienced Asante Kotoko defender, Wahab Adams has been removed from the list of captains at the club ahead of his imminent exit from the club.
As can be recalled, the Porcupine Warriors club prior to the start of the second round of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season made changes to their technical bench.
The appointment of Coach Mariano Barreto and other assistants have helped the team to improve their challenge to win the league title at the end of the ongoing season.
As part of changes going on, the Portuguese tactician has taken a decision on who gets to captain his side.
Although not much change is made, defender Wahab Adams has lost his place as the club’s four captains.
According to reports, the decision had to be taken because the centre-back will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract runs out.
The other captains, Felix Annan, Emmanuel Gyamfi, and Abdul Ismail Ganiu get to keep their places as captains of the team in that order.
Meanwhile, midfielder Mudasiru Salifu has been made the fourth captain of the Reds and takes the place of Wahab Adams.
