U-20 Women’s WCQ: Ghana earns crucial point against Zambia in a fierce battle

The Black Princesses of Ghana secured a vital point when they engaged the Shipolopoli of Zambia in the 2022 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying match played at the Nkoloma Stadium in Zambia.

Coach Ben Forkuo’s charges played a 0-0 match with the Zambians to keep Ghana’s chances of advancing to the final round qualifications intact.

The return leg encounter would be played in a fortnight at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The winner of the two-legged tie will progress to the final round of the qualifiers where Africa has two slots.

The 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup will be staged in Costa Rica from 10-28 August.

Ghana will be chasing her sixth consecutive appearance at the biennial competition.
