Royal Vessels Incorporated to organise praises concert on Christmas Day

Accra,- The Royal Vessels Incorporated (RVI), the music ministry of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Atomic, Accra, will on December 25, organise a gospel musical concert dubbed: the “Royal Praise 2021”, in commemoration of this year’s Christmas.

The annual event, to be held in the Church’s Mega Auditorium at Atomic, near Kwabenya in Accra, is on the theme: “He will rejoice over you with singing,” -Zephaniah 3:17b.

Mr Enoch Currie Tetteh, the Leader of the Choir, told the Ghana News Agency, in Accra that “Royal Praise 2021”, aimed at bringing together people from all walks of life, regardless of their language, denomination, background or faith, to one point to praise and worship God for His goodness throughout the year.

He said beyond the provision of good music, the programme had been an avenue for people to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord and had recorded testimonies of patrons being touched by God’s power as they praised and worshiped him for “what He does and who He is”.

The rationale behind the choice of the theme for this year’s celebrations, he said was partly based on the words of Jesus Christ, that “where two or three shall gather in my name, I’m in their presence”.

However, “there is a special invitation we send to God to come and dwell amongst us, and this is activated through praises, just as Psalm 22:3, explains that God inhabits the praises of His people, and anytime we raise our praises unto God, we create an atmosphere for Him to come and dwell in our midst,” he explained.

Again, “Zephaniah goes ahead to describe the God who comes to take His seat amongst us as a “Mighty Warrior” who does not only save, but takes great delight in His people, such that He rejoices over them with singing,” he said.

Mr Tetteh said “God does not only love you, but He likes you, hence He rejoices over you, just as you are,” and that it was anticipated that “Royal Praise 2021” would create an opportunity for every individual to get real, tangible sense of God’s joy over them by the space created in His presence together.

He said the event promised to be unique with numerous surprise packages, including a single album release by the RVI, and that the choir, would get both youthful and adult feet dancing in praises of God through the ministration of irresistible pentecostal songs interspersed with other contemporary gospel music.

“That you’ll be filled with an abundant joy that can only come from a fresh, tangible revelation of our heavenly Father’s overwhelming love for us, and as we praise Him, may we have the ears to hear Him loudly rejoicing over us with singing,” he added.

In a brief background, he said “Royal Praise 2021” marked 23 years, since its inception as the annual praise and worship celebration of the PIWC at Kokomlemle in Accra, under the leadership of now Apostle Julius Franklin Asante-Ayeh, the then Resident Pastor.

He said the initial events were held at the CIDA Hall of the Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC), until the PIWC Accra was divided into separate branches (PIWC, Kokomlemle and PIWC, Atomic) by the International Executive Council of the Church of Pentecost in 2008, but the Atomic branch had since, remained consistent to the organisation of Royal Praise annually.

Mr Tetteh stated that the programme had seen both qualitative and quantitative growth, attracting patrons from both within and outside the Church, and called on the public to participate massively in the 2021 Concert for an explosive encounter with the Lord and to thank Him for the protection they continued to enjoy even in an era of the COVID-19 pandemic.
