President Nana Addo pledges support for sports

Ghana President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged to continuously support sports in the country particularly football.

The President gave the assurance on Tuesday evening while hosting the Ghana U-20 team at the Jubilee House after winning the 2021 Total CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

“It is obvious what my responsibility is and that is to give sports in our country especially football the maximum support it deserves and I want to assure you that we are going to do our best to do that,” H.E Nana Addo told the delegation during his address.

The President continued, “Because without the support it’s difficult to go forward in any endeavour of our life as we have seen how the support, we gave to you have played out”.

The delegation that visited the Jubilee House yesterday to present the U-20 AFCON trophy to the president included the playing body of the Ghana U-20 team, the technical team, the management committee team, and officials of the Ghana FA.
