Ada,— Elder John Amonortey Badu, Presiding Elder for Salom-Madagber Assembly of the Church of Pentecost in the Toflokpo District, has charged Christians to make prayer a weapon in 2022.
Elder Badu, in a New Year Message in Ada, said prayerful life was the only weapon that a Christian could use against the forces of evil.
“As a Christian, your major tool to win your battles is prayer. Don’t put it under threat nor play with it,” he said.
He said Jesus Christ was prayerful hence his ability to withstand the temptations that came his way.
“If the hand of the Lord was on one’s enemy, one could be successful without any hindrance,” adding that, “this could only be achieved through consistent prayers.”
The Presiding Elder was of the firm belief that 2022 would be a year of harvest and restoration for the ardent Christian.
Elder Badu urged Christians to preach the gospel to enable unbelievers to turn away from their sinful way of life.
“The only key that could bring people closer to Christ is their ability to obey His Commandments and be prayerful always.”
The first church service of the year was characterized by prayer, praises and worship and distribution of food and lollipops, among others.
