A Political Analyst Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has urged the ruling NPP not to ditch Adwoa Safo.
He warns that removing Adwoa Safo is no guarantee the party will retain the seat.
He is advising the leadership of the party to try and convince rather.
According to him, declaring her seat vacant would not solve the party’s problem.
Dr. Amoako Baah indicated that Adwoa Safo had been treated unfairly by the party and nobody defended her hence her action.
“The point is she was first unfairly treated and nobody came to her defense. If she’s a substantive minister and somebody under her is given the authority making her under that person how do you expect her to operate as a minister?” he told Joy News.
Dr. Amoako Baah stressed that the public outburst of Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central over the conduct of Adwoa Safo was completely wrong.
According to him, though he has no full information about the conduct of Adwao Safo who doubles as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, bringing “our personal issues like what Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong did was not right.”
He stated, “I know I wouldn’t have all the information about what is going on behind the scenes but listen to Kennedy Agyapong. I know he’s tried very hard to get Adwoa Sarfo to come back and it has not worked, but some of the things he’s saying are personal issues that should not be in the public domain. Calling her a failure in life, her father doesn’t own the country; that is not appropriate. This is also a woman who has two children with you.”
