Head coach for Aduana Stars, Asare Bediako has indicated that his players’ inability to execute his tactics caused them the defeat to Hearts of Oak on Sunday evening.
The Dormaa-based club yesterday played as a guest to the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 18 encounter of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League.
At the end of a tough contest, Hearts of Oak picked the three points on the back of a 2-0 win.
Speaking in his post-match interview, a disappointed coach Asare Bediako pointed fingers at his players.
“We lost in the first half because they [players] couldn’t do what I told them. I told them to press and mark one-on-one but they didn’t do that in the first half but during the recess, I told them to stick to what I told them and we would eventually equalize,” the Aduana Stars head coach said.
Coach Asare Bediako continued, “But as you can see, we played all the ball in the second half but the result was rather unfortunate.”
Up next for Aduana Stars, the team will host King Faisal on matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League next weekend.
