The Porcupine Warriors cruised over Thunderbolt FC in a 3-1 win on Saturday in the Round of 32 games.

The win sends the record Ghana Premier League holders into the last 16 of the cup competition.

“It was a typical cup match, in cup matches, the small teams normally try to beat the bigger teams,” the Portuguese manager said after the game.

“In Ghana, in Portugal, in German many times you see third division clubs beating [bigger clubs] and they [Thunderbolt] tried.

“The first forty-five minutes, we did not deserve to be in the game.

“I talked seriously with my players, second half they showed a little bit of what we were able to do, we scored three goals but for Thunderbolt, I have to give one word, good job, they created a lot of problems. [for Kotoko],” Baretto said.

Asante Kotoko will now play Karela United in the matchday 30 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday before travelling to Accra for the matchday 31 game against sworn rivals, Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
