A 14-year-old Shaibu Rafique Issah made his Sekondi Hasaacas debut against Bibiani GoldStars in the MTN FA Cup Wednesday afternoon.
The young goalkeeper makes him the club’s youngest player in a competitive game.
Shaibu was exactly 14 years and 159 days old when coach Joseph Agyemang decided to hand the shot-stopper a starting berth in the Round of 64 games.
Visiting GoldStars defeated Hasaacas 1-0 at Sekondi Gyendu Park to progress to the next round of the FA Cup.
Goalkeeper Shaibu Rafique Issah was among the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination graduates.
